So, we’re finally here in Australia!! We’re sort of living in Australia! I thought that it would feel a lot more overwhelming to be here than it does. I’m mostly just tired and happy to not have another flight to catch. I guess that it still feels a little bit like we’re still on a holiday. After all, this is our third city in less than a week.
It took us two flights (incl. one night flight) to get Surfers Beach in Gold Coast from Bangkok, so we’re both feeling pretty groggy. Today was all about sleep, food and recovery.
This is not considered to be a good beach by the Australian standards, but it’s a heaven for two former Londoners. It’s very quiet everywhere since it’s winter here and it’s actually pretty cold. It was 10 degrees when we landed this morning at 8. It’s pretty warm in the sun though, but it started raining in the evening. I had dig though my bag to find my warmest clothes in the evening and it still wasn’t enough!! I’m currently dreaming about my red autumn coat that I obviously left in Sweden since I couldn’t even imagine needing it.
