Life in Australia, London

Making dreams come true: Australia

Backpacking Australia

I have so many partly finished blog posts and ideas for you! Just need to find the time to finish them. Life is finally busy again! We went to Byron Bay last weekend and are going to cuddle cute Koalas at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary tomorrow. Then it’s Fraser Island in 2 weeks and Airlie Beach/Whitsunday in 6 weeks. The next few months will be hectic, but we are trying to cram in as much as possible.

Living in Australia has always been a dream for me that have finally become real. Do you remember that Australia was actually my first choice when I wanted to move abroad in 2009? Instead, I moved to London and met my current travel companion. It’s funny how life works sometimes! Anyhow, I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to call Australia my home for awhile! I would most likely have spent the rest of my life wondering ”what if..” if we wouldn’t have done this. I have learned so much and a year (or two) will honestly go a lot faster than you think.

It’s awesome, but our Australia chapter is almost coming to an end! Yes, we’re coming back to Europe! The plan is to come back before Christmas, spend a few weeks with our families and then move back to.. London. London was my home for 4 years and it’s time to rebuild on that chapter. At least for a few years. I will be going home as a different, slightly better, person than I was one year ago.

The only problem is that I’ve been spoiled with massive luxury apartments (compared to London), a lot of personal space and a lack of crowds. London doesn’t have any of these things, but I can’t wait to see my friends and families again. It will also be nice to take weekend trips around Europe and to take part in the massive cultural mix that makes London truly spectacular.

I would love to visit Australia some day! It sounds like you are making sure to experience all that Australia has to offer before you head back to London. Enjoy it for all of us who dream of going!

Australia is one of the places I dream of visiting! I have a lot of friends there and they are always inviting me to come. I hope to go there next year. Good for you to call it home for a while.

Ho exciting! It’s wonderful that you faced your fears and took a leap to move to Australia. I’ve always wanted to live abroad, but I just haven’t made it work yet – one day I will. London is a great place to be as well. I’m sure moving to smaller apartments and having more crowds is a downside, but hey, you’re still going to be in London. Plus being close to family is always a good thing. Best of luck!

I can’t imagine how fun it is to move to a completely new country and experience all there is to see. Australia looks like a gorgeous place that would be so fun to explore. But, how exciting is it for you to go back to Europe! I’ve been to Europe once, and I so felt like it was where I belonged. I just loved Paris. I can’t wait to take my husband again.

That’s how I feel as well about Europe. Oh, Paris is good! Hope that you’ll see it soon again.

I have realized everything in life happens for a reason. Like how you met your travel partner instead of going to Australia. I would love to travel abroad, but I have yet to make it out of the states. From some of the shows I’ve watched Australia looks to be so beautiful, and I love some of there expressions.

I love all of the twists and turns of life as well. I was dissapointed at first when I didn’t move to Australia in 2009, but it all worked out for the better. 🙂 I’m sure that you’ll make it out of the states whenever the time is right!

I’ve always thought that Australia was such a fascinating place, and envy those who have had a chance to study and explore its culture, people, and most of all animals. My sweetie would like to go to London one of these days…while I would much rather check out Australia. Have fun on all of your adventures!

Both Australia and London is really fantastic in their own ways. If I had to pick, then I would pick Australia as a holiday destination!
